Anderson Speedway Loses Great Supporter & Racer
The ownership team and staff of Anderson Speedway are deeply saddened to
announce that John A. "Big John" Frawley, 77, passed away on Monday August 30th
following an extended illness.
I will always remember my predecessor Dutch Hurst
referring to Big John as "Fearless Frawley" because it seemed as though John was
one of those drivers that just never stopped at the crossover. John loved his
racing and loved the figure 8.
Even in failing health, he made one final effort to make
it to the 2010 National Crown and he was rewarded for his effort. Grand son
Terry Malone Jr's #27 car piloted by Curtis Chapman took home the checkered flag
for Grandpa! Things were now complete. Rest in peace "Big John" and thanks for
the memories.
Calling is today, Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 4 to 8
pm at the Robert D Loose Funeral Home and Crematory, 200 W 53rd St in Anderson
and one hour prior to the Thursday, September 2nd 1 pm. funeral service. Burial
will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson. Post online condolences at
www.loosefuneralhomes.com
or

Our sympathy is extended to the very large family of "Big
John". May the peace of God be with you all today and in the days and weeks
ahead.
