Five Drivers Bump Their Way Into Pay Less 500

In Pay Less Little 500 Bump Day on Friday, May 25 at Anderson Speedway, five drivers bumped their way into the Pay Less Little 500 on Saturday Night.

Florida’s Keith Butler will start 16th, Jim Swain qualified 25th, Brandon Whited will start 27th, Tyler Underwood qualified 31st and Jim Payne bumped his way back into the field to grab the 33rd and final starting position.

On Thursday during Pay Less Little 500 Pole Day, Alexandria’s Donnie Adams Jr. earned his first career pole position and will start from the first position on Saturday night. Michigan’s Jeff Bloom will make his 31st appearance in the Little 500 and will roll off from the middle of the front row. California’s Tim Barber will start on the outside of the front row.

Besides three-time champion Jeff Bloom, three other former champions are in the field. Seven-time winner Eric Gordon starts sixth, 1999 champion Chet Fillip will start 13th and defending race winner Brian Tyler will line up 14th.

Six drivers will make their first appearance with New Castle’s Dakota Armstrong earning the best starting position of 12th in the 33-car starting field.

The 59th Pay Less Little 500 will be featured on Saturday, May 26, with the green flag waving at approximately 8 p.m.
