The second event of the 2010 season at Anderson Speedway will take place on Saturday Night, April 3, the opening points night for many of the track’s featured divisions.

On Saturday, the Figure 8’s, Street Stocks and Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s will compete at the world’s fastest quarter-mile oval for the first occasion of the young season. The Pure Stocks will make a second showing as part of the racing lineup.

In last year’s opening events, Nick Warner grabbed the headlines with scoring feature victories in the ThunderCar division and both the Front Wheel Drive Oval and Figure 8 main events. Race winners also included Rod Phipps (Street Stocks) and Johnny Magee (Figure 8’s).

On Saturday, April 3, spectator gates open at 4 p.m. with the racing beginning at 7. Admission is $10 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
