Than things really got interesting on lap seven when first Nuckles and Robbins again made contact coming off the second corner with Nuckles night ending with a flat tire and Robbins being sent to the tail. On the restart Doug Dugger and Andrea Hans got together in turn one.

From that point the stayed green with Robbins slashing his way back through the field and on lap 11 got inside of Aaron Holden to move into the third spot on the front straight and five laps later used the exact same move to pass Alec Webb said second.

At the finish it was Taylor Webb winning by more than two seconds over a closing Robbins with Alec Webb, Aaron Holden and Chris Rhodes rounding out the top five.
Taylor Webb led the entire distance to capture the first heat race with Nuckles finishing second followed by Tony Holden. Chris Weddle gained two positions during the 10-lap race to finish fourth and Jagger rounding out the top five.
