IOFS Outlaw Figure 8's Return Saturday; Street Stocks, ThunderCars and IOFS Compact Figure 8's Also in Action

(June 8, 2011) – Racing action returns to Anderson Speedway on Saturday, June 11 with the IOFS Outlaw Figure 8’s returning for their second visit of the season. Other divisions in action include EDCO Welding Street Stocks, WMDH ThunderCars along with IOFS Compact Figure 8’s.

The IOFS Outlaw Figure 8’s have competed in two events this season with Charlie Hargraves scoring both victories. He won the opener at Anderson on April 30 and visited the winner’s circle at Kil Kare (OH) Speedway in May. In the previous event at Anderson, Hargraves finished ahead of Gary Bedell and Chris Green.

Earning two early season feature victories and establishing a new qualifying track record Josh Poore paces the EDCO Welding Street Stocks division with a seven point cushion over Josh Myers. The remainder of the top five includes Jacob McElfresh, J.P. Crabtree and Randy Hoppes.

In the WMDH ThunderCars division, Lonny Burton and Hannah Lundy are tied for first spot in the point standings. Rob Allman ranks in third with Larry Swinford and Frankie Oakes filling out the top five.

The IOFS Compact division will be in action for the second occasion this season. Brian Simms captured the season opening event on May 14 at Shelby County Fairgrounds. Mike Alley and Mark Estepp rounded out top three.

On Saturday, June 11, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the racing beginning at 8. Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
