Budweiser ThunderCar Enduro and Bud Light Front Wheel Drive Challenge to Close Out Season

(October 17, 2012) – The 2012 racing season at Anderson Speedway will come to a close on Saturday, October 20th with a blockbuster event. The racing lineup will include the Budweiser Enduro featuring the WMDH ThunderCars and the Bud Light Front Wheel Drive Challenge.

The Budweiser Enduro will be showcased at Anderson Speedway for the 22nd occasion. Rob Allman is the most recent winner of the long-distance event with earning the victory in March. He finished ahead of Nick Warner and Jeff Marcum. Other recent winners in the $3,000 to win event include Warner and Benny Blevins.

In last year’s Bud Light Front Wheel Drive Challenge, Jeff Williams capped off his impressive season with earning the winning hardware in the 100-lap event. He inherited the top spot with 12 laps remaining when Jerry Dane suffered a broken axle. Williams was able to hold off Kevin Harmon at the finish by .319-seconds with Don Klein-Gallaher, Justin Brown and Colt Moore rounding out the top five

On Saturday, October 20, spectator gates open at 4 p.m. with the racing beginning at 7. Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
