Mark's Affordable Auto Repair Backs Jerry Smith

Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drive competitor Jerry Smith has announced that Mark’s Affordable Auto Repair will serve as his primary sponsor for the 2005 season.

“I’m thrilled that Mark’s Affordable Repair has come aboard for the upcoming season,” said Jerry Smith. “I really enjoyed racing in the Front Wheel Drives last year and I’m looking forward to the 2005 season.”

In 2005, Smith will have a new look to his No. 00 Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drive entry with black and yellow colors. He plans to compete in the full Oval division and make several appearances in the newly launched Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s.

Smith made his division debut on July 23, 2004, recording an impressive fourth-place showing. In a part-time schedule, he grabbed one top-five finish and two top 10s.

The Anderson racer learned the racing ropes from his late cousin, Wendell Beachboard, who competed in the ThunderCar division at Anderson Speedway. Smith races in memory of Wendell Beachboard.

The next Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drive action is scheduled for March 12 during March Motorsports Madness. The first points event will take place on Saturday, April 9.
