Brian Tyler of Mount Pleasant, N.C. turned in a flawless performance in Saturday night's 58th Pay Less Little 500 Sprint Car classic at  Anderson Speedway. His victory in the 500-lap race halted Eric Gordon's streak of five consecutive victories.

Tyler earned over $28,000 for his four-lap victory over runner-up Gordon in the race, which took two hours and 12 minutes to complete. Tyler piloted the Harshbarger Farms Twister/Foxco to his first “Little 500” win.

“It was just our night!” said Tyler in victory lane. “I had a good feeling about tonight. This was my 13th Little 500. The crew did a great job. I knew if I could run consistent I could win it and when I got by Eric I figured I was good. You have to have a good car at the end to win here and we did.”

Tyler was one of six race leaders and led 152 of the 500 laps. Other race leaders were pole starter Aaron Pierce (114), Danny Holtsclaw (1), Jeff Bloom (10), Tony Elliott (88) and Gordon (135).

Russ Gamester, who finished fifth, earned the Rookie of the Race award.

Tyler and Gordon were trailed at the checkered flag by Elliott, Bloom, Gamester, Tracy Hines, Holtsclaw, Hud Cone, Wendy Mathis and Tim Barber.
