Awards Banquets Set For Friday and Saturday Night Divisions

Anderson Speedway has announced that the 2005 Saturday Night divisions Awards Banquet will take place on Friday, November 18 and the 2005 MAX/WLBC Friday Night Summer Series Awards Banquet will take place on Sunday, November 20, both being held at Anderson’s Sterling House.

On Friday, November 18, the top 10 eligible teams from the Ed Martin Auto Group Super Trucks, Terry’s RV Sales & Service Street Stocks and Boss Hogg Catering & Jerky Figure 8’s will be honored. Additional special awards will be presented to the DTS R Bar Rookie of the Year, Rocky Tharp Sportsmanship Award and Dedication Award for each of the Saturday Night divisions.

On Sunday, November 20, the top eligible 10 teams from the Legends, Insight ThunderCar Oval and Figure 8’s along with Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drive Oval and Figure 8’s will be honored. Additional special awards will be presented to the Rookie of the Year, Rocky Tharp Sportsmanship Award and Dedication Award for each of the Friday Night divisions.

On Friday and Sunday, there will be a reception at 5:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 6:30. The 2005 awards presentations will begin at 7:30 p.m. Following the conclusion of the awards presentations, attendees are welcome to enjoy entertainment at the 59th St. Pub and Eatery and stay overnight at Sterling House at Anderson Speedway’s Reduced Discount.

The Sterling House (also known as Day’s Inn) is located directly off Interstate 69 in Anderson at exit 26. (5901 Scatterfield Road) The Anderson Sterling House features meeting and banquet rooms which can accommodate from 10 to 600 in a pleasant surrounding.
