Stock Car Legend Mike Eddy to Appear at Anderson's NationsRent Location on Saturday

Midwestern stock car racing legend Mike Eddy will make an appearance at Anderson’s NationsRent store prior to the 38th NationsRent 400 presented by Corteco and Great Deals on Saturday. Eddy will sign autographs from 9-11 a.m. at NationsRent location (inside the Lowe’s complex) at 3221 South Scatterfield Road, Anderson, Ind.

Eddy is a seven-time American Speed Association Champion and will drive for Ohio car owner Jeff Miller in Saturday Nights NationsRent 400 presented by Corteco and Great Deals. It marks Eddy’s initial appearance in the Sunoco Super Series Late Models and his return to the historic NationsRent 400. He last appeared in the event in1998.

In NationsRent 400 competition, Eddy ranks first in top-10 finishes with 16 and tops the laps led category, pacing a total of 1,136 circuits. Other career stats include 14 top-five finishes, three pole positions and one victory. His win took place in 1992, finishing ahead of local hero Tom Jones and Iowa standout Brad Loney.

Eddy of Midland, Mich., has an impressive racing resume, topping many of the ASA record books. He is a seven-time ASA National Tour Champion (1974, 1976, 1981, 1982, 1989, 1991, 1992). He is the all-time career leader in laps led, starts and top 10s. He ranks second on the victory charts (58).

Activities for the 38th Annual NationsRent 400 presented by Corteco and Great Deals begin on Friday, July 16, with pole qualifying set for 8 p.m. The MAX/WLBC Friday Night Summer Series will also be featured with the McCrocklin Ford & Mobility Legends, Insight ThunderCars on the Oval and Figure 8 and Chappy's Rent to Own Front Wheel Drives.

On Saturday, July 17, a warm-up session is set for 5 p.m. with an on-track autograph session scheduled for 6. The 38th Annual NationsRent 400 presented by Corteco and Great Deals goes green at 8. General admission tickets for the event are $18 in advance and $20 on race day.
