The 2006 season at Anderson Speedway for Hacker Racing produced stellar results and they hope to excel even more in 2007 at the World’s Fastest Quarter-Mile Oval. As the team prepares for the 60th anniversary season, several changes will take place to their program.

After earning the Lampco Federal Credit Union Street Stock title last season, Anderson’s Rod Phipps will return to the Figure 8 division, gunning for this second consecutive division championship and his first Figure 8 crown. Rob Allman will move from the Figure 8 division to compete full-time in the Lampco FCU Street Stocks in 2007.

In 2006, Phipps collected three feature victories, six fast times and 15 top-five finishes en route to his Street Stock Championship. He also drove the Hacker Racing entry to the ThunderCar Pro title with four checkered flags and 20 top 10s. Phipps was also victorious in the ThunderCar Enduro in July and scored one victory in limited appearances in the Figure 8 division.

Rob Allman enjoyed a solid season placing third in the Figure 8 standings with two feature wins and 13 top 10s. He also joined exclusive company in claiming the victory in the prestigious 56th Best Way Disposal National Crown in July

The Figure 8's and Lampco Federal Credit Union Street Stocks make their season debut on Saturday, April 7, opening night for The Star Press Saturday Night divisions.
