McCune, Allman and Rose Shine at Anderson

The sun finally broke through the threatening clouds Saturday evening at Anderson Speedway for Don Miller Tire Night at the Races with Jimmy McCune capturing the H.O.S.S. Outlaw Winged Sprint Headliner, Rob Allman the Street Stock main and Ronnie Rose a double winner in the Immediadent Figure 8 features.

HOSS Sprint racing saw Patrick Stewart look like the man to beat in the 30 lap feature. Stewart had a slight altercation with a slower car during the race but shook off the incident. Then on lap 28, Stewart slammed the turn #1 wall, finally coming to a stop coming out of turn #2. Something obviously broke and it could of possibly been linked to the earlier incident. Jimmy McCune took command of the event and sailed on to the victory defeating Greg Wheeler, Eddie Kelly, Jeff Kaiser and Ron Koehler to round out the top five. Koehler and Kaiser won heats with Wheeler fast timer at an amazing 10.762 seconds.

Rob Allman grabbed the lead from Randy Hoppes early in the street stock headliner. Joe Beaver chased but had to settle for 2nd followed by Rich Boyer, Jeff Perry and Danny Acrey, II. Allman and Hoppes were prelim winners with Acrey fast qualifier at 14.145.

The Immediadent Figure 8's had two features due to a rainout on the Father's Day show. In the rainout feature Jason Pitts grabbed the early lead with a fierce battle for the lead going on. Johnny Magee passed Pitts on lap 12 only to succumb to a flat tire on lap 16 which put Ronnie Rose to the point. Rose coasted on to the win with Pitts, Shawn Cullen, Ranny Hinton, Sr and Rob Allman finishing out the top five.

Ronnie Rose had clean sweep on his mind in feature #2 as he dominated from green to checker for his second win of the evening. Following in the event were Ronnie Phipps, Johnny Magee, Shawn Cullen and Ranny Hinton. Rose and Hinton were heat winners with Michael Phipps the fast qualifier at 15.260.
