Six Divisions on Friday Night; Figure 8's, SuperTrucks, CRA Street Stocks and Front Wheel Drive Pro on Saturday

Anderson Speedway returns to racing action this weekend with another big double header weekend. On July 11, the WLBC / MAX Friday Night Summer will showcase USAC Kenyon Midgets, Newco Metals Legends, Mini Cups, ThunderCars and Quick Auto Front Wheel Drives in Amateur and Figure 8 action.

On Saturday, July 12, the CRA Street Stocks make a second season appearance. The Ed Martin Chevrolet SuperTrucks, ImmediaDent Figure 8’s and Quick Auto Front Wheel Drive Pro division will all be in action on the world’s fastest quarter mile oval.

In the Newco Metals Legends, John Robbins extended his points lead to 129 markers after earning his second consecutive victory last weekend. Second in the standings is Billy Smith. The remainder of the top five includes Mark Dietzen, Clark Dietzen and Frank Camasta.

After turning in an impressive start to the ThunderCar season, Travis Burge holds a three point lead over last year’s division runner-up Lonny Burton. The remainder of the top five includes Sam Folsom, Tom Tacket and Dennis Farver Sr.

John Ford sits atop the Quick Auto Front Wheel Drive Amateur division with a seven point cushion over Harry LaShure. Third is Andy Keller with Kevin Harmon and Jared Keller completing the top five.

In the Quick Auto Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s, Andy Keller holds a 40 point advantage over Donnie Ellis Jr. Third in the standings is Harry Lashure with Jared Keller and Tony Torres rounding out the top five.

On Friday Night, spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the racing program beginning at 8. Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.

Heading into this weekend’s action, Joe Beaver leads the CRA Street Stock point standings with a 20 point leader over Bret Miles Jr. New Castle’s Brian Hopkins ranks third with Larry Matillio and Josh Burton rounding out the top five.

Beaver also leads the Ed Martin Chevrolet SuperTruck point standings with a 25 point lead over Josh Poore. Third is most recent race winner Rod Phipps with Jerry Faucett and Josh Timmerman rounding out the top five.

After posting a top-five finish last weekend, Ranny Hinton now holds first position in the ImmediaDent point standings. Rob Allman ranks second, 48 markers from the top spot. Ronnie Rose, Mike Riddle Jr. and Joe Hart round out the top five in the point standings.

Markleville’s Randy Hoppes collected two Quick Auto Front Wheel Drive Pro features last weekend to extend his points lead to 239 markers over Donnie Ellis Jr. Third is Gary Bragg Jr. with Kevin Harmon and Peter Corsaro completing the top five.

On Saturday Night, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the racing program beginning at 8. Admission is $10 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
