USAC National Midgets Return on Saturday Night

Anderson Speedway returns to action on Saturday, September 13, with the USAC National Midgets, Kenyon Midgets and Quick Auto Front Wheel Drives in Pro and Figure 8’s.

Entering this weekend action in the USAC Mopar National Midget Championship, veteran Tracy Hines leads Cole Whitt by 65 markers. California native Brad Sweet ranks third with Bobby East and Levi Jones completing the top five.

The USAC Kenyon Midgets will make another trip to the world’s fastest quarter-mile oval on Saturday night. In the most recent event, Grant Galloway scored a feature victory on August 15.

In the Quick Auto Front Wheel Drive Pro division, Randy Hoppes continues to hold a nice cushion in the season standings. He leads Donnie Ellis Jr. by 244 points. Third is Pete Corsaro with Gary Bragg and Jerry Baker.

Andy Keller sits atop the Quick Auto Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 standings with a 220 point lead over Harry Lashure. Third is Donnie Ellis Jr. with Jared Keller and Nick Warner filling out the top five.

On Saturday Night, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the racing program beginning at 8. Admission is $15 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
