CRA Street Stocks Invade Anderson on Saturday
Anderson Speedway returns to racing action this weekend with the CRA Street Stocks making their initial season appearance at the world’s fastest quarter mile oval. The Figure 8’s and Front Wheel Drive Oval divisions will also be part of the racing lineup.

The CRA Street Stocks will be showcased in a 75-lap feature event that will include the CRA regulars along with many of the drivers that compete at Anderson Speedway on a regular basis. This event will be the second event of the CRA Street Stocks season. The season opener took place on April 10 at Plymouth Speedway. A total of 31 drivers competed at the Northern Indiana track. Illinois racer Josh Nelms grabbed the winning hardware finishing ahead of Scott Neal and Bret Miles Jr.

In the early part of the Street Stock season at Anderson, the division has proved to be very competitive with three winners in three events. Josh Myers earned the season opening victory with Derrick Layne and Rich Boyer claiming the previous two feature wins.

Rod Phipps has started the Figure 8 season with two consecutive victories and fourth place finish last weekend. Former division champion Curtis Chapman has turned in consistent finishes with three top-five finishes including two consecutive runner-up performances.
