The Herald Bulletin Night at the Races to Feature H.O.S.S. Winged Sprints

(September 27, 2012) – The month of September concludes at Anderson Speedway with The Herald Bulletin Night that Races showcasing the H.O.S.S. Winged Sprint Cars. The racing lineup will also include Season Championships for the WMDH ThunderCars along with G.W. Pierce Front Wheel Drives in Oval and Figure 8 action.

The H.O.S.S. Winged Sprint Cars will make their second and final appearance at the high-banked quarter-mile oval on Saturday Night. In the first event in late July, Chris Neuenschwander scored his first ever win by .357-seconds over Aaron Pierce followed by Geoff Kaiser, Jason Fuller and McCune, who recovered from the spin.

Hannah Lundy and Rob Allman are set to battle for the final occasion this season in the WMDH ThunderCars to determine the 2012 Champion. Lundy holds a slim three point margin over Allman heading into this weekend’s action. The remainder of the top five includes Earl Adams lll, Pam Neal and Ryan Buckner.

In the G.W. Pierce Front Wheel Drives Oval, Ron Phipps sits atop the point standings with Trevin Henson and Marshall Clark Jr. filling out the top three. Paul Phipps and Harry Lashure complete the top five.

Mike Alley paces the G.W. Pierce Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s with Donnie Ellis Jr. listed in the second position. Third is most recent feature winner Kevin Henson with Harry Lashure ranked in fourth spot and Elliott McKinney in fifth position.

On Saturday, September 29, spectator gates open at 4:30 p.m. with the racing beginning at 8. Admission is $13 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
