Insight ThunderCar Oval Title Goal for Veteran Alice Riall

Veteran Insight ThunderCar Oval competitor Alice Riall returns to the popular division at Anderson Speedway in 2005 with goals of challenging for the championship. She will continue to drive her familiar No. 17 in the upcoming season.

“We have a great team in place for the upcoming ThunderCar season,” said Alice Riall. “We have good group of sponsors and we are excited about the upcoming season.”

In 2004, Riall placed 10th in the final points tally. She scored her first career victory in the ThunderCar division on July 23, during the MAX/WLBC Friday Night Summer Series.

During last year, the Alexandria racer collected seven top-five finishes and 11 top 10s. Riall has placed among the top 10 in the final standings the last two years, as she placed ninth in 2003 ThunderCar standings.

“It would be awesome to be the first female champion at Anderson Speedway. I’m focusing on completing as many races as possible and scoring a lot of top five and top 10 finishes.”

Riall will carry sponsorship from B & F Machine Shop, Key & Son Feeds, Curves of Alexandria an Alchemy Computers. She drive a car owned by John Goforth in the upcoming season.

The 2005 Insight ThunderCar Oval season begins on Saturday, April 2, making a special appearance with the regular Saturday Night divisions on Opening Night.
