USAC National Sprints Kick Off Pay Less Little 500 Week on Wednesday Night

The 58th Pay Less Little 500 week kicks off Wednesday, May 24 at Anderson Speedway with the USAC National Sprint Car Series competing in the Sam Pierce Chevrolet 50. Joining the USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car Series will be the USAC Midwest Ford Focus Midgets.

The USAC National Sprint Cars will make its final 2006 appearance at Anderson on Wednesday night. Dave Darland recorded the victory in USAC’s first season appearance on Sunday, April 9 in the Glen Niebel Classic / Banjo 100. Heading into Wednesday nights event, Josh Wise leads the point standings with Bud Kaeding, Levi Jones, Bryan Clauson and Mat Neely rounding out the top five.

On Wednesday, Pay Less Little 500 practice begins at 11 a.m. with USAC practice taking place at 3:30 p.m. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with racing starting at 7. Advanced adult tickets are $10 and $15 on raceday. Kids 6 to 12 are admitted for $4. Five and under are free.

The 58th Pay Less Little 500 round one pole qualifications will take place on Thursday, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

On Friday, the 33-car field will be set with the second round of qualifications. Later that night, the Families Forever / Primerica Free Night will take place. The MAX/WLBC Friday Night Summer Series will feature Insight ThunderCars and Pro ThunderCars along with Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drives Oval and Figure 8 action and an awesome Fireworks show.

Admission is free for all events on Thursday and Friday.

On Saturday, May 27, the 58th Pay Less Little 500 green flag waves at 8 p.m. Thirty-three Sprint Cars in 11 rows of 3 will be featured in the richest Sprint Car asphalt event.
