Anderson Speedway returns to racing action on Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29 with Insight Double Thunder Power Weekend.

On July 28, the MAX/WLBC Friday Night Summer Series features American Awards Legends, Insight ThunderCars & Pro ThunderCars along with Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drives in Oval and Figure 8 racing. The racing lineup will also include last Friday’s rain-out features for Insight ThunderCars, Pro ThunderCars and Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drive Oval.

On Saturday, July 29, the ThunderCar Enduro 200 will take place, featuring up to 55 cars in the starting field. The race annually showcases some of the premier ThunderCar drivers from around the state of Indiana. Recent winners include Eric Evans (2005), Phi Jenkins (2004) and Carl Muffley (2003). Other top drivers that have already filed entries include National Crown winner Rob Allman, current Lampco FCU Street Stock point’s leader Rod Phipps and veteran drivers Joe Beaver, Ronnie Rose and Johnny Magee.

On Friday Night, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the racing beginning at 8. Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
