Terry's RV Street Stock 150 Set for Saturday Night

Anderson Speedway returns to racing action with the Terry’s RV Sales & Service Summer Fun Weekend. On Friday, August 5, the MAX/WLBC Friday Night Summer Series will showcase Legends, Insight ThunderCars in Oval and Figure 8 racing along with Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drives in Oval and Figure 8 action.

On Saturday, August 6, The Star Press Saturday Night Series features the Terry’s RV Sales & Service Street Stocks in the Terry’s RV 150. Plus the Ed Martin Auto Group SuperTrucks and the return of the Boss Hogg Catering & Jerky Figure 8’s.

After scoring his eighth victory on July 22, Albany’s Daniel Russell returned to the point’s lead in the Legends. He holds a 22 point advantage on T.J. Sneva, who has collected seven top-five finishes and nine top 10s. John Robbins ranks third in the standings with Eric Black and Scott McGinley rounding out the top five.

The Insight ThunderCar Oval division continues to feature the closest point’s battle at Anderson Speedway. Brandon Phillips holds a six point lead on Alexandria’s Alice Riall. The leading Phillips has notched 11 top-10 finishes while Riall has produced nine top-five finishes. Billy Riddle is third, just 51 markers from first position. Anderson veterans Roy Grissom Sr. and William Coffman round out the top five.

After winning his fifth Insight ThunderCar Figure 8 feature, Paris Swallows Jr. closed the margin to point’s leader Terry Malone Jr. After 15 events, Malone has constructed a 30 point advantage on Swallows. Third is Billy Riddle with Roy Grissom Sr. and last week’s runner-up Robert Brumback completing the top five.

Anderson’s Dustin Burge sits atop the Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drive Oval point standings with 13 top-five finishes and 15 top 10s. Sam Folsom is second, just 32 markers from first spot. Nick Warner advanced to third position with Brad Stevens and Kevin Harmon rounding out the top five.

The Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 division continues see Nick Warner holding the number one position in the point standings. He leads Randy Owen by 150 markers. Most recent winner Chris Teepe is third with Allen Wagner and Travis Burge filling out the top five.

On Friday Night, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with racing beginning at 8. Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.

Entering the biggest event of the Terry’s RV Sales & Service Street Stock season, Rich Boyer collected his 10th season victory. That win propelled him to a 357 point lead over Anderson’s Rod Phipps, who has three feature wins and 13 top 10s. Danny Acrey ll is third with 10 top-five performances. DT’S R Bar Rookie of the Year Ryan Buckner advanced to fourth with veteran Bruce McFall in fifth spot.

New Castle’s Tony Broyles recorded his 10th top-five finish in 11 events last Saturday after crossing the finish line in second spot. He now leads Ronnie Rose by 542 points heading into this weekend’s action. Rose has driven into the Texas Roadhouse Winner’s Circle on six occasions and has also recorded eight top-five finishes. Joe Beaver is third with Andrew Brown and Bob Lemen rounding out the top five.

After a week off, the Boss Hogg Catering & Jerky Figure 8’s return to the world’s fastest quarter-mile oval. On the strength of two feature victories and 10 top-10 finishes, Curtis Chapman sailed into first position. He leads defending champion Jeff Swinford by 13 markers. Mike Riddle Jr. is third, just 83 markers from first spot. The remainder of the top five includes Michael Phipps and Ronnie Phipps.

On Saturday Night, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with racing beginning at 8. Admission is $10 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
